She completed her undergraduation MBBS(1993-99) from Rajah Muthaiyah Medical College and Hospital, Annamalai university, Chidambaram and Post graduation DO (2001-2004) from Thanjavur Medical College.
In 2005 she underwent her SICS (Small Incision Cataract Surgery) and Phacosurgery training at Joseph Eye Hospital.
She is trained at Joseph Eye Hospital in screening of preterm babies for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
She is presently a visiting consultant in ophthalmology at Vinodhagan Memorial Hospital (P) Ltd., MVK Hospital & Krishna child care centre.
